Sala’s Camp Kenya in the deep Kenyan countryside offers unassuming luxury and all the essentials for an exceptional safari experience. There are just seven tents on the property. Therefore the Camp can only hold a total of eighteen people at once. The Camp is tastefully designed, and each safari tent has modern accents that make visitors feel pampered and at home. This green Camp uses solar energy for electricity and has a backup generator for refrigeration and gadget charging. The entire Camp radiates a beautiful feeling of nostalgia for bygone safari days despite the modern embellishments. However, we’re not sure if safari tents from long ago had the same level of decadence that you’ll feel when you plunge into your private pool. You can unwind on your own private deck with your favorite ice-cold beverage after a quick plunge in the cooling waters.

When To Visit Kenya’s Salas Camp

The Sala Days of the Masai Mara are warm and can become very hot, while the Sala Nights are cooler. Typically, April and May are when the rains are forecast. The Mara region of Kenya is a superb location for animal viewing all year round. Elephant sightings are quite rare from December through March.

The enormous herds of wildebeest leave Tanzania in June and remain until mid-September. This opulent Sala camp can be open at any time if necessary. It is open from June through October and from mid-November to mid-April.

• Sala’s Camp offers a wide variety of activities in a relaxed setting. The candlelit meal outside under the starlight on the Sand River’s bed is a particular pleasure. • Salas Camp, Kenya’s fantastic location, makes for some fantastic game drives! There are fewer people and automobiles in this reserved area, which is rather calm. • The kids’ program at Sala’s is excellent. Every child receives a bag with games, activities, and quizzes about the Camp and the local fauna. It also has goodies for them in it! Additionally, children dressed in Maasai jewelry and attire are taught how to create bows and arrows, make stones sing, and build a fire the traditional way while the parents relax in the afternoon.
• The “Small Five” can be found during nature walks, and activities are available before and after dinner, such as burning marshmallows and making popcorn over the campfire. Children’s games are abundant at the Camp, and every room has a set of paints and paper for aspiring artists!

Salas Camp In Kenya: Access, Location, Accommodations, And Facilities

It is located in the extreme south, not far from the Kenya–Tanzania border, where the Sand and Keekerok rivers converge.
Sala’s offers a great deal of personality and a relaxing atmosphere. A lounge, a dining room, and a small bar are all located in the main mess tent. Due to the vibrantly colored cushions on the wicker furniture, the lounge has a very contemporary and African vibe. It also has a few games and a variety of books. The bar separates the eating room from the lounge and contains a large table for community meals. Directors’ chairs and coffee tables are located right in front of the mess tent to provide an additional area for socializing. The fire pit is a fantastic spot to relax with a drink and tell tales.

Seven elegant and beautiful tents with running water and electricity make up Sala’s guest quarters. Families or honeymooners might choose the larger tent with the added lounge/bedroom. All are roomy, and the Camp’s dense vegetation provides solitude and shade throughout the sweltering summer months. The interiors of the tents are cool and modern, with African rugs, silky pillows, and crisp white sheets! The tents are made of forest-green colored canvas! A desk and a wardrobe are among the furniture. A sink unit, a shower facility with a flush toilet, and a hot-and-cold running shower are located behind a canvas door in the sleeping space. Deckchairs are positioned in front of each tent to create a cozy seating space.

Tent African Safari

Sala’s Camp is a permanent safari tent camp on the Masai Mara. The seven luxury tents have three different room kinds. The Keekorok Honeymoon Safari Tent, one of our Sala’s Double Tents, is Tent 1, and Tents 4, 5, and 6 are positioned near our Sala’s Honeymoon Tent, which is Tent 7. Despite slightly varied designs, they all have the same facilities and peaceful surroundings with views of the Serengeti and Sand River. All of our double tents are the ideal option for a honeymoon safari because of their solitude, luxury, and breathtaking views. Glass doors that go all the way to the ceiling open up to a patio or a hardwood deck that may be used for secluded starlit dining if desired. Private plunge pools and wooden decks make it possible to unwind completely in nature’s tranquil greenery.

Tent Camp Masai Mara Safari

A distinctive Masai Mara safari tented camp is Salas. A footbridge crosses the Keekorok River to get to Tent 1, the farthest and most secluded tent to the left of the main mess area, and is the best option for a honeymoon safari. Tents 4 through 7 are dispersed down the riverside in the other direction, with Tent 4 being the closest to the main mess area and Tent 7 being the most remote and farthest away. An intricate gravel path leads to tents 4 to 7. Ramps can be made available for wheelchair access to rooms 4 and 5. Each room is large enough to fit a third bed for a child if necessary. However, this must be negotiated when making your reservation.
