Carol Gatewood established The Learning Tree in 1982. They now teach more than 600 students annually at 5 locations and employ more than 120 people. The one-on-one care and family atmosphere are still present, despite their expansion, just as they were at Carol’s first school. Carol works closely with their entire staff to ensure quality and make changes. She is passionate about guiding others to reach their greatest potential. When Carol first started The Learning Tree, she was a busy working mother who wanted to give her own kids a great and healthy early childhood education. The Learning Tree has also hosted grandkids of Carol. Her devotion to her family is what fuels their culture and motivates the staff to ensure that every student, parent, and teacher is treated as a member of the family here. As Karen Ballard and Andrea Brown supervise and oversee daily operations and quality at all locations, Carol continues to mentor both Regional Directors. Five locations now make up The Learning Tree, with three in Livonia, one in Howell, and one in South Lyon.

Weekly four full-day field trips

The fun never stops at this summer camp.

The best summer ever is what they want to provide with their summer day camp program. Each week, camps take four full-day field trips and spend one full day at the center, participating in a plethora of “in-day” activities.

Imagine that after years of doing this, they are pretty excellent at nailing the fun topic.

They enjoy the Summer Day Camp Program because their Camp Teachers fill out a survey each day to let them know which outings were popular, which meals were gobbled up, and what is and is not working so they can plan for the day ahead. Asking the youngsters themselves about their preferences and least favorites is a part of this communication. They base their travel decisions on the kids’ suggestions since they genuinely want them to have the best summer ever!

Park Excursions and Games

Mad libs, coloring pages, fidget spinners, find-it games, bocce ball, corn hole, jerseys, and much more are all available at the park.

Swim Trips

Splashing around in the water and going for a swim are the best ways to spend a summer. They visit all of the top lakes, splash pads, and water parks. Their field trip ratio is one instructor to 4 students when they go on swim outings since additional Swim Crew members join them. Everyone had a blast as the teachers participated in the water activities.

During Center Days

Days at the center are organized around projects like making homemade smoothies, cooking, making slime, creating art projects, going outside, and so much more.

Particular Field Trips

Every week, they also take a trip somewhere interactive, like a science center, an art studio, a children’s theater, a sporting event, a farmers market, and more!

Even the meals are enjoyable (and delicious and healthy!).

Their day campers receive a special meal tailored to the ideal, delectable field excursion lunch. The menu includes nitrate-free hot dogs, pasta, grilled pizzas, and build-your-own sandwiches. Yum!

They are a well-established preschool in the Middle Village neighborhood. While they help their pupils get ready for elementary school, their main focus is on teaching them to respect one another and to work together to make learning enjoyable.

Philosophies of camp

The Learning Tree day camp provides students with a range of opportunities designed to ensure a summer of enjoyment and development. The campers have access to a wide range of activities in a welcoming environment. Without feeling any pressure, they are urged to explore their interests.

Camping personnel

Preschool and school-age instructors selected from among the teaching staff serve as the head counselors. They offer a welcoming, encouraging environment where enjoyment, development, and learning can flourish. The summer camp counselors are skilled and knowledgeable in a range of subjects and professions.

Facilities at Camp

Their camp is situated across from Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village, Queens, a peaceful residential neighborhood. The camp has a sizable fenced-in outdoor play space and is on its own separate parcel of property. The play area has a special rubberized floor and suitable outdoor toys. The building is a cutting-edge, climate-controlled structure created especially to accommodate the requirements of their young children. The two swimming pools at the camp let the kids enjoy the water. Beginning swimmers can get guidance from licensed lifeguards.

Program for Junior Division Camps (2-4 Years)

For the delight of the kids, they offer a comprehensive range of classic camping activities, such as arts and crafts, playtime, singing, dancing, sports, and many unique events. On their property, swimming is encouraged and embraced. They provide the kids with life jackets that have been approved by the Coast Guard. Program for Senior Division Camps (5-13 Years)

The senior program is intended to provide campers the opportunity to develop personally and enjoy making new friends. In addition to a full sports program (baseball, basketball, soccer, and track), swimming, bowling, and field trips, they also offer a number of other activities. There will be at least one field excursion per week to a different location of interest. Along with evening excursions and sporting events, they will have bowling, movies, and miniature golf. Lake Forest Church’s Learning Tree Summer Camp In Huntersville

Your child can learn about the world at The Learning Tree in a God-centered, relational setting via inquiry, engagement, and research. Their teachers will support and mentor “whole child” development, which includes the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual facets of growth. They offer preschool that is half-day and full-time.

The Learning Tree provides a half-day preschool curriculum that runs from September through May, with the option of year-round care or extended-day care. They continue to provide the option of a long day during the summer and offer a number of half-day camps. They will have roughly 150 students enrolled in infants through traditional kindergarten in 2020–21. (T.K.). They hold a license from the state of North Carolina.

Summer camp is being offered by The Learning Tree at Lake Forest Church in Huntersville. Ages two to eight will have a ton of fun and a different adventure each week. Monday through Friday, 9 am to 1 pm, are camp hours. Come for the entire summer, or select the week or weeks that are convenient for your family. Your child will discover the love God has for them as they go through life at Learning Tree Summer Camp. Children will have a fun-filled week playing, exploring, creating, and investigating together. The highly skilled and experienced teachers have created exercises to encourage critical thinking while having fun.

Summer Camp at Learning Tree Farm

Get ready for some summertime fun! They invite you to participate in their many fascinating, hands-on programs, whether you are new to the Learning Tree Farm Summer Camp community or were raised there. Days turn into experiences as campers discover the Learning Tree Farm’s farm animals, gardens, forests, and history. Children develop new friends, push themselves to try new things, create memories, and conclude the day exhausted from all the fun they’ve had at camp.

1st session

Ranch Sampler

Join them as they explore the farm’s offerings in further detail over the course of 3 enjoyable days! Every day is different as they introduce the campers to new experiences through games and activities centered on the daily themes of farming, eco-exploration, and homesteading.

Join them for three days of nonstop excitement as they explore the best of both worlds: the farm’s animals, scenery, and enjoyment, as well as their passion for making lovely things. Every day is different as they immerse campers in activities that foster imagination, inquisitiveness, and excitement in accordance with the daily themes: earth art, plant art, and animal art.
