How can I determine my child’s level?

Most kids who are new to gymnastics and are seven or older will start at level 1. Children 4 and younger are grouped by age, whereas children 5 and 6 must enroll in a “Little” Class. We can arrange a trial class if your child has prior experience.

The Placement Evaluation is what?

One of our experienced instructors will conduct brief skills and flexibility test called a placement evaluation to help us decide which level your child should be in. This is usually only permitted for kids who want to join the competitive squad.

What does my youngster put on for school?

Shorts and any athletic t-shirt are acceptable. Leotards, which can be purchased in the pro shop next to the front desk, are preferred by some sportsmen. Students in trampoline classes (TNT) are required to bring socks to class.

Must I attend preschool classes?
You must participate in the lesson if your child is under three and still using the potty. You are welcome to watch from our viewing area after your child is three and toilet-trained.

Can I arrange a make-up lesson if my child misses a class?

Yes. Every child is permitted one make-up class each month, which can be planned.

How far in advance must I sign up to hold a class?

If there is room in the class, all enrollments start immediately after being requested. We can put you on the standby list with a future start date if you want to start later (up to 3 months). Unless there is a space available in the class at the time of your desired start date, this does not guarantee you a spot. If not, you will be placed on the standby list until a site becomes available.

What is a Gym? Preschool Games for Summer Camp

  1. Bean Bags in Balance
The development of your preschooler’s fine motor skills depends on balance games. Encourage your pupils to practice balancing by having them utilize their bean bags in various ways.
Hula Hoops made of bean bags
It’s straightforward to put up this activity practically anywhere. Depending on how many children are playing, set down a hula hoop; if more are required, add them.
    Three Colors Five Points
A simple game called “four colors, four corners” can assist kids in improving their fine motor skills and their knowledge and appreciation of colors.
  2. Jump Animal Track
Your children will find counting animal footprints to be highly entertaining. This fantastic PE game will promote the understanding and development of numbers. With chalk, make animal footprints with numbers inside.
    Fifth, Animal Yoga
Create some of your own cards or print some! Animal yoga works well for center circles, physical education, or even a class break. Students can copy the animal positions by pulling out an actual card or watching a presentation set up for them.
    Six. Hopscotch
For young students, hopscotch is fantastic! Playground games like these are a great way to develop your gross motor and counting abilities.
    Dice for Movement 7.
The combination of physical activity and picture-word connection makes movement dice ideal for elementary grades.
  3. Move It or Lose It. You can use these popsicle sticks at home or in the physical education class!
  4. Split from LeapFrog. Students go about the gym while crouching to avoid being tagged.

Can my child take many classes each week?

Yes! A student receives a 25% reduction on the cost of each extra class when they sign up for multiple ones.

Can I bring my child in earlier? Late pick-up

Each day’s camp sessions start at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. We don’t permit early departure. Both the noon and the six o’clock sessions are over. When picking up your child, there is a five-minute grace period before there is a $5 late fee for every five minutes you are late.

Are they need to carry cash?

Each session includes a snack and water, so there is no need for them to bring money. To prevent it from going missing, if you would like to leave them cash for the vending machines, we will keep it for them at the front desk. Please remind your kids that when they are ready to spend their money, they must go up to the front desk to get it.

How do they dress?

Shorts and cotton t-shirts are appropriate. If they have them, girls may wear leotards; if you’d like to buy one, we also sell them. In the gym, the kids will be barefoot, but they’ll require sandals or sneakers for outside activities. The kids’ shoes and other things can be stored in cubbies. Lightweight attire is recommended because the youngsters will be active during the session.

How to Begin and Run a Summer Camp at a Gym

Many individuals associate their favorite childhood experiences with summer camps. They can provide a setting for learning new things, experiencing the arts, participating in sports, or having fun in the sun. Since the ideas underlying summer camps are so different, they could be anything. Determine the logistics. Choose the style of base you want to operate, look for a suitable area, create a business strategy, and finish all the paperwork and legal processes.
Create a hassle-free and secure registration process. The procedure can be made more effective by using online forms for enrollment and medical waivers, among other things.

Create your camp’s schedule.

Plan your activities around the theme you choose. Research the topic and spread the word. Identify your target market and run efficient marketing efforts.

Make sure your campers’ health and safety.

Prepare wholesome meals, delegate duties or hire janitors, and check that the facilities are operational. Hire and train employees. Create job descriptions, applications, policies, and employee evaluations.

Gather suggestions and stay in touch with campers.

By soliciting feedback from campers and their guardians, you can both improve your camp and keep campers coming back long after camp is done.

How can summer camps operate more efficiently?

The bottom line is that efficient data-gathering methods that can streamline the flow of information should be implemented at all summer camps, whether they are day camps, overnight camps, or sports programs. A user-friendly, effective online form solution with collaboration functionality, security, and a high degree of customization is required by camp directors, staff, and personnel.

Is a gymnastics class the same as a camp?

A gymnastics class is not the same as a camp. Smaller student-teacher ratios, a little more structure, and progress tracking are all features of the gymnastics classes. The kids at camp are learning some gymnastics, but primarily for fun. The games that the kids play involve gymnastics skills.

What Age Is Best for Camp?

0 to 5 years old. It is too young for a solo overnight camp. Visit a family camp or enroll your child in a day camp for 6 to 8-year-olds. Focus on if your child is ready at age 9 to 10 if they are young children. Eleven and over, Let them leave if they so want.

How to Expand Your Gym’s Kids Camp Program

There are six activities you can use to design a gym camp program for kids that will make money, get referrals, and win over parents.

Family night away.

Parents will enjoy eating out without worrying about the kids’ menu. Kids Club is available to use in gyms when it is quiet. Kids will be motivated to put down their iPads and bring a buddy (or potential member) along thanks to themes including Craft Night, Movie & Pajamas, Game Night, and Camping (imagine building your own tent and eating smores without the fire). You can quickly add any required digital waivers at check-in and get a report of guests to prospect with digital check-in software like Alaris.

Birthday Celebrations & Room Bookings.

No indoor playhouse or jungle gym structure? No issue! Parents often require a location where their toddler buddies may gather that isn’t their city apartment or living room. Between playtime, cake, and gifts, guests can have fun with simple games like Bubble Dance Parties, Birthday Child Trivia, and Seek & Find

Scavenger Hunts.

Camps give the biggest payoff of all the activities on our list, despite being the most demanding. During the Spring, Summer, and Winter breaks from school, gyms may meet parents’ need for dependable, enjoyable, and active childcare. Gyms can develop a sizable profit center while employing rooms during downtimes and any outside spaces as well, as camp costs are higher than the ordinary Kids Club charge.

Homework Aid

Is there a moment or location in your gym where you may find solitude? Set up homework times that give parents a chance to work out after work, which is typically a busy time for families. For those youngsters too old (and busy) to be in the Kids Club, designated homework aides, peers, and a location away from the distractions at home might be a welcome sight.

Club for Youth Fitness

The gym is usually quiet in the late afternoon, making it the ideal time to introduce 9 to 17-year-olds to the benefits of becoming devoted gym users. Give kids, especially those who might not love team sports, a fresh outlet for health and friendships by making HIIT and body-weight exercises enjoyable.
Birthdays are not the only occasion for pool parties! Nowadays, pool time is highly sought after, but you will probably find interest in a brief hour or 1.5 hours. Promote quieter pool hours to attract Girl Scout and Boy Scout gatherings, as well as school and neighborhood buddy groups in need of a wintertime energy boost.

Despite being potty trained, my child is still in diapers. What occurs if my child is injured?

Every hour, the preschool coaches take their groups to the restrooms to remind the kids to use the facilities. However, we won’t be in charge of doing diaper changes. We will phone you to ask you to bring your kid a change of clothes if they have an accident.

What should I do if my child is attending camp and needs to take medication?

We’ll be pleased to administer your child’s medication. Please give the medication to the front desk with the child’s name on it in its original container, along with any instructions on how much to take and when.

Do the little children nap?

The preschoolers don’t nap, but they do have a half-hour break every session to paint, play with blocks, solve puzzles, or listen to stories.

Big Benefits Of Exercise Camps And Activities For Summer

The time to study and choose enjoyable activities for kids to do in summer is now, as summer break is quickly approaching. For many families, a summer camp or regular activity is generally the solution, but it can be difficult to find the ideal mix of physical and social development activities that suit your child’s needs and your family’s schedule. Consider some of the significant advantages summer camp programs offer while choosing the ideal activities for your kids this summer.

Emotional Advantages

Children gain independence and experience making their own decisions while they are apart from their parents, whether it’s for a few hours or even a whole day.

Social Advantages

Numerous summer camps for kids give kids a chance to take on and overcome new difficulties on their own, boosting their self-esteem and confidence. Children can develop their communication skills by working and studying with others outside of the classroom, which can result in new friendships based on shared interests and collective success.

Benefits of Education and Academics

The well-known phenomenon of summer learning loss has been called the “summer slide” by researchers. According to studies, pupils’ accomplishment scores generally decreased over the summer by one month’s worth of learning, with arithmetic achievement scores suffering the greatest losses compared to reading. Children can build on their abilities from the previous year on the first day of school, thanks to summer learning programs for kids, which can help prevent this loss.

Physical Advantages

According to research findings and recommendations made public by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, children who engage in regular physical activity are more likely to maintain a healthy weight, develop strong bones, muscles, and joints, and lead active lives as adults. Including 60 minutes of physical activity in children’s daily routines has a significant favorable impact on their academic performance and social skills in addition to these health benefits.

Families might seek activities provided by nearby schools, museums, and libraries or choose The Little Gym’s Summer Camp and classes! Children and parents alike look forward to a break from the usual at the end of the school year, so it’s critical to keep kids active and to learn while they’re having fun.
