Family Camping At Sky Ranch In Colorado
Sky Ranch Family Camp is an all-inclusive summer weeklong adventure that aims to be a faith-strengthening, soul-refreshing, adventurous, and restful week. There is something for anyone, from newborns to grandparents and all in between. Particularly this year, Family Camp was a wonderful blessing. Our hearts and brains greatly benefited by spending time with friends and family, playing, engaging in fellowship, praying, and participating in worship.
Adventure
Get outside with your friends and compete against them in alpine sports in the stunning Colorado Mountains.
To Serve
We demonstrate our faith by serving others. Our desire is for our personnel to serve you in a way that reflects the love of Jesus. No cleaning or cooking is required.
Faith
We put a lot of effort into preparing parents to serve their families all year long through worship, daily devotionals, and discussions, particularly for parents.
All of our campers, staff members, and other visitors are dedicated to having an encounter with Christ on the mountaintops while at Sky Ranch. At the table of Christ, everyone is, in our opinion, welcome. Sky Ranch respects and celebrates our visitors’ differences in age, color, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, and other qualities that make our community distinctive in the Spirit of diversity, inclusion, and hospitality. Our LGBTQ siblings, persons with different abilities, people of color, and members of other disadvantaged communities are all especially welcome in our ministry.
The goal is to facilitate a mountaintop encounter with Christ.
The mission is accomplished by:
- Being a unique location.
- Presenting possibilities for service learning to participants.
- Acquainting our visitors with the splendor of creation.
- Highlighting the importance of seclusion for one’s physical and spiritual well.
- Collaborating with local, regional, and international churches.
- A spirit-driven community that transforms the world is what outdoor ministry hopes to unleash. It implies that:
- The Spirit’s rich soil is where the seed of faith is planted.
- Campers return knowing more about their vocation.
- Congregational ministry leadership training is provided to both individuals and groups.
- Participants are more knowledgeable about the Lutheran tradition and the Bible.

What am I allowed to bring to Sky Ranch?
Toiletries, a swimsuit (if the weather permits), tops or t-shirts, a fleece hat, and layers for cold weather. Lighter and label everything! Please don’t bring anything that could break easily or result in financial loss if lost, such as alcohol, firearms, illegal substances, jewelry, or game consoles.
What faith practices Sky Ranch?
A Christian organization is Sky Ranch. We think that by our acceptance of His gift, the only thing that has been done for our salvation is the blood of Jesus Christ.
Will families need to pass a test in order to participate in Family Camp this summer?
No. Prior to their visit, families will get an email with a health screening questionnaire that must be filled out and returned within 24 hours of camp. Each family member who arrives will have their symptoms checked. All party members will be asked to visit a secondary screening location if a family member has a temperature of 100.0 or higher during the initial check. Any member of the group who has a confirmed fever of 100.0 or more must cancel the trip or reschedule it for later in the summer. Additionally, daily symptom checks will be required of all families and employees.
Will the COVID-19 vaccine be necessary for employees at Sky Ranch?
Although many of our seasonal and year-round employees have received the COVID-19 vaccine, Sky Ranch does not need the shot to work there. All summer long, we regularly test our summer employees.
How will arrivals appear?
After conducting symptom checks, our staff will lead you to your lodgings and be on hand to assist with luggage. After arrival, we’ll serve dinner to welcome everyone to the best week of the summer. In the days leading up to camp, we will send out communications outlining all processes and any changes to arrival times and schedules.
During Family Camp, will attendees and staff be required to wear masks?
Each visitor to Sky Ranch will receive a neck gator (buff) that can be worn as a face covering if they so choose. According to the CDC’s most recent recommendations, face coverings won’t be necessary. The use of family groups and the practice of social distance between family groups will remain, although face coverings will not be required throughout camp. To eliminate or modify big group programming, we are modifying the activity schedules based on family groups, prioritizing outdoor programming when possible, and all-around family and cabin groups. As we continue to abide by the most recent guidelines for limiting the spread of COVID, keeping our visitors safe is of utmost importance to us at Sky Ranch.
What happens if a camper or staff member exhibits COVID-19 or other disease symptoms?
Any camper, staff member, or member of their immediate family displaying symptoms similar to COVID-19 will be quarantined and isolated. Each circumstance will be dealt with separately. They will be sent home if necessary. In order to identify best practices and current recommendations, we are still coordinating with regional and state health experts.
