Christian Arts Camp

Christian Arts Camp uses drama and storytelling, visual and performing arts, and music and song. We created Arts Camp as a program for rising first through fifth students, with junior counselors from middle school and senior counselors from high school. Youth and children participate in lively, active worship based on the Bible at Christian arts camp, which also fosters community. The camp aims to help youngsters develop a closer relationship with God and a career in the arts. The goal of a Christian arts camp is to give kids a secure, inspiring environment where they can experiment with their creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic abilities while being guided by Christian mentor artists. Christian Arts Camp is a one-week event every summer to encourage kids to use their creative skills to worship God and spread His Word via the arts! In programs taught by passionate teachers, students will have the chance to experience various performing and visual arts while also learning about and developing their love for Jesus. Youth can express their creativity in multiple ways during art camps, including painting, photography, digital media, and more.

Christian Arts Camp: What Is It?

The Art Room has large. You need space for multiple tables, some of which will house supplies and materials while the others will give them plenty of workspaces for their crafts to work with one adult at a time. It is also effective to divide the campers into two smaller groups. For example, while one group of about 15 campers is learning or writing songs with our music instructor, the other group of the same size is having fun with storytelling, movement, and dramatic play. This network will support and draw a wide range of multicultural, artistic, and Christian youngsters. And also help you comprehend what it really means to have faith, a calling, and creative abilities on a deeper level. In addition to providing ideas for structuring and scheduling the five days of camp, Arts Camp also offers practical, concrete instruction that a church needs to plan, organize, staff, and run an annual five-day Arts Camp, including advice on logistics, funding, finding art instructors (within the local church and wider community). How Do I Register My Camper?

Select a Camp Site and Date. The site of the Young Women camp will change depending on your demands and geographic location. Typically, camps take place outdoors in a secure location apart from home. The camp should take place in a serene setting where the young women can experience the Spirit, share testimonies, acquire skills, and have fun. Planning a day camp can be a useful alternative in places where overnight camping is difficult or illegal. Day camps can be held in a public space close to the residences of the young ladies, like a park, picnic area, or garden. Knowing what you need and want from a camp will help you choose one. It is crucial to involve your child now because a successful outcome depends on their early involvement. The more information kids have about camp before the arriving, the easier it will be for them is to adjust.

How Art Camps Benefit Kids

Arts programs help kids build up fine motor skills by holding utensils like pencils, crayons, chalk, and paintbrushes. Our Art Camp is taught by professional artists that not only lead our summer camps but who teach in our studio throughout the year. The beautiful thing about art camp is that they get to take their masterpieces home with them! Children gain confidence in decision-making at camp, and as they do, their independence grows. They feel comfortable taking action because they know they can make a decision. They gain a sense of independence and self-identity. At our Farm Camp, children interact with sheep, pigs, and goats, which is very different than what they would be doing at home. Camp exposes children to new activities and encourages children to push their boundaries by trying something for the first time. It is not the sports that make camp special. It is the relationships campers form with other campers and staff, the songs they sing together, and the shared traditions that make children feel part of a strong community. Summer camp has become one of the last unplugged environments for children. Now children are connected more than ever by talking on their devices but are increasingly lonely and isolated. At camp, you are forced to be an active part of the community without a device. The magic of camp is a child can just be a child. They can have fun and learn new activities, all in a supportive and safe environment that is just for them.

1.Low camp ratios (Children 3-5 ratios 1:8 | Children 5-12 1:14 | Youth 11-14 1:15).
2.Full-day camps run from 7:30 am-5:30 pm (Drop off anytime between 7:30-9:00 am, pick up anytime between 4:00-5:30 pm).
3.Half-day preschool camps run 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm (lunch care is not available).
4.All preschool campers must be potty-trained at the time of the camp start date, with no exceptions.
5.Our day camps will operate under the current guidelines set out by Alberta Government.
6.Summer day camps operate July 4th – August 26th, 2022 (registration is weekly).
7.Space is limited, and registrations will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis.
8.If a camp is full, please place your child on a waitlist, and you will be contacted if a space becomes available.

Making Christian Art Camp More Fun

Kids should have memorable fun at art camp experiences, and not complex ones. Play games and do fun bonding collaborative art-making projects. Have your children plan to create something new they can give their parents on the last day of the camp. This planning will start earlier in the week. We’ll kick some things off with some of easiest summer camp crafts that we’ve made right here.
