Summer Day Camps For Latin Students In Charlotte, North Carolina

The aim of Charlotte Latin Summer Day Camps is to create a setting that fosters a love of learning. Charlotte day camp campers learn through experiences that promote growth while discovering new interests and friendships. Our programs help children develop a love of learning and a sense of independence by helping them recognize their strengths. A qualified and considerate staff upholds a secure, controlled, and progressive environment that ignites children’s curiosity about discovering new possibilities. For kids ages 3 to 18, our camps go six weeks straight.

A day in a camper’s life.

Day camp session • 09:30 – 12:00

• Campers arrive for morning drop-off between 8:45 and 9:00 am.8 ‘;
• The camp will accompany any campers who have signed up for Before Camp Care and help them check-in.
• 9:00 am: Camp personnel leads campers to the camp.
• Morning Camp Session, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
• Only half-day campers are dismissed at noon and taken to the car or bus lot.
• Noon: Camp staff will lead all campers remaining for an afternoon session to lunch.

Lunch: 12:00–1: 00 p.m.

The camp office will determine the staggered lunch times for full-day camps (9 am–4 pm) between 11:00 am and noon. For lunch, campers are not permitted to leave the property.

• 12:35 pm to 1 pm: Lunch
• Staff skits and midday announcements for campers are held from 12:35 to 12:55 pm.
• Dismissed from the cafeteria at 12:55 for afternoon camp activities (1:00–4:00 pm). The camp staff will accompany every camper to their subsequent camp session.

1–4 pm Afternoon camp session.

• 12:45–1:00 pm: During the midday drop-off, campers arrive.
• 1:00 pm: Camp personnel leads campers to the camp.
• 1:00–4:00 pm: Breakfast time camp sessio
• Only half-day campers are dismissed at 4:00 pm to the car or bus lot.
• Our staff will accompany every camper staying for after-camp care to the aftercare instructor’s office. After, Camp Care will leave for the Middle School once all campers have checked in.

Can my child attend summer day camps without being a charlotte Latin student?

All campers are welcome to participate in our summer activities here at Latin. All pupils between 3 and 18 are welcome to our programs. Pre-K campers and older (3 1/2–4 years old) To attend camp, a child must be potty trained and at least one and a half years old.

How should my child dress for Charlotte day camp?

• Please dress your child in appropriate, camp-friendly attire that enables them to play and create.
• Shoes with closed-toes are necessary.
• Outdoor and sports camps. Sunscreen should be administered before camp and sent with your camper if they need another application. If your child is attending an outdoor sports camp, they should be dressed for the weather, including sneakers, caps, and sun protection.
• Before sending your youngster off to camp, label each item. Our camp office, which is off the main carpool lane/Library loggia in the Forum, houses our lost and found.

What should I bring for my child to Charlotte day camp?

• For each half-day camp, a daily (nut-free) snack and refillable water bottle/drink are provided in a bag that your kid can carry.
• Sports camps may also need equipment designed specifically for use at the camp. We recommend campers carry and wear a mouthguard for contact sports.
• Apply sunblock before dropping off the campers.
• Please mark all objects.

Where can I get my child?

The same place where you drop your child off is where you will pick him or her up. Please pick it up at our back entrance on Raintree Lane if your camper is registered for After Camp Care and/or you are picking it up between 4:15 and 5:30 pm.

What should I do if I need to get my child early?

Please be aware that we are unable to accept early pickups between the hours of 11:30 am and 1:30 pm and 3:30 to 4:00 pm as these are busy times for staff and campers to enter and exit the camp facilities.

How do I manage allergies in my child?

If your kid has any anaphylactic allergies, please let our office know. On the first day of camp, you must provide us with an EpiPen, any necessary medications, and your action plan. In a transparent Ziploc bag, place the Epi-Pen together with a copy of your camper’s schedule, your contact details, and a list of their specified allergies. For kids with anaphylactic allergies, Epi-Pens will be kept in the camp office. If you ask for the Epi-Pen to be carried by the counselors throughout the camp day, it will be in a fanny pack or emergency bag. The camp office will get all drugs back for overnight storage.

Where are the camps that you run?

Our camps are situated on the campus of our cutting-edge high school (4041 Johnston Oehler Road). Our elementary school campus offers a Welcome to Kindergarten Camp (9501 David Taylor Drive).

Do Corvian Summer Camps Accept Visitors?

Yes! Students from all schools are welcome here. Join forces with a buddy!

For Day Camp, my youngster would prefer to be put in a group with a friend. Can this be done?

We will make it happen if your camper is in the same grade as, or the grade above, or the grade below, his or her friend! Make sure to include this request in your registration.

Do you provide any specials or discounts?

Yes! When you register before April 1 and use the promo code CORVIAN22, we’ll give you 10% off our enrichment camps. For campers who sign up for five or more weeks of full-day camp, we also provide free lunch.

Do you provide payment schedules?

When registering for an enrichment camp, payment in full is required. Families can pay a 20% non-refundable deposit when they sign up for day camp. On May 15 for June camps, June 15 for July camps, and July 15 for all other camps, the remaining balance is required (August camps).

Are you able to provide before and after care?

Yes! We provide Day Campers and Enrichment Campers with options for after-camp care.

I’m already signed up, but I’d like to add lunch or after-school care. Can this be done?

Yes! Fill out our Add-On Registration Form if you would.

Will my camper be able to remain for lunch if I sign up for an enrichment program that runs in the morning and the afternoon?

Yes! The lunch period for campers who attend both morning and afternoon sessions is from twelve to one. The crew at Camp Corvian will keep watch over them.

Can I pick up my student without a car tag?

You will get a car tag via email if your youngster is in grades 1 through 6. During pickup, you can print the car tag or display it on your phone.
