Top Hotel Safety Advice

  • Consider before booking

Some hotels are situated in undesirable areas. Always be sure to look up hotel reviews and local areas. Pictures of hotels might be misleading. It is possible to make something appear better than it is. Hotels close to airports should be used with caution because, although this isn’t always the case, the surrounding areas aren’t often great.

  • Always close the door after flipping the latch.

All hotels include door locks, which increase the door’s security further. The most committed attackers won’t be deterred, but they will be slowed down, and for the less determined, it might be enough to scare them away. Make sure you flick the manual lock in your door closed if it has one. There is never enough security.

  • Wherever feasible, utilize the privacy signals.

Make sure to hang the privacy sign if you must leave your room. Assuming a guest is there, hotel employees will probably avoid entering the room. To increase the likelihood that your equipment will be secure, you can also put on the TV to further suggest that someone is around. It should go without saying that if you want your room serviced, this hotel safety advice does not apply.
